Coaching

I work with families after they receive an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis. Even if the identification was expected, there is still a process of learning, planning and adjusting that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

As a parent, you will be asked to implement strategies at home, plan therapies and apply for funds to support your child’s development. Who is supporting you?

Using my experience as a parent of 3 neurodiverse young adults, my Coaching skills and my 30 years of healthcare provider experience, I can offer support in many ways, including educating you about your child’s nervous system and sensory needs, practical strategies to keep your home life sane and manageable in addition to offering a compassionate ear. Together, we chart a path back to wellness.

Workshops & Retreats

I offer retreat experiences that nourish the mind, body, and spirit.

If your organization wants to address burnout or have a team-building experience, I can customize retreat themes to suit your needs.

Writing

Writing and storytelling are in my bones.

I have always had a writing practice that kept me grounded throughout my education, career, and parenting journey.

I have attended The Humber School For Writers, Sarah Selecky’s Story Intensive, and Nicole Briet’s Spark Your Story Intensive with mentorship from Rowan McCandless. I am completing a Certificate in Creative Writing through the University of Toronto.

I was shortlisted and came in second place in the CFNC-HLR contest in 2023.

Writing may be a solitary process, but having a writing community is essential. In 2018, I became an AWA facilitator and community builder and co-founded the Ignite Your Write workshops with Claire Sheridan in 2022.

I offer online writing practice sessions and retreats as a certified Amherst Writers and Artists Facilitator.
